A little rest

We went on a walk this morning. It was so beautiful outside! This fall weather is just great!

We did have to change our clothes three times, though, cause the temperature progressively changed. We're about to make the fourth, and final, change of the day-- into our jammies!!

Cheers!

What a day.

Today... I am tired. I think Eli is too. He's been kinda fussy (neither of us slept well last night). He's still smiling, though. When Alexander got home tonight, Eli had the hiccups. They were laughing about it, it was super sweet!

We did have a nice getaway day with Nana-- thanks for spending it with us! Sadly, we didn't get any pictures. Cheers!

October WHAT??

Today marks Eli's two month birthday. Time flies way too fast. Last Friday he weighed 14 lbs. 4 oz. He was 8.14 at birth. The day we had him was terribly hot and humid (we had no idea because, well, we were confined to a hospital bed for 20 hours) and today is cool and breezy, the perfect autumn day. I thought it would be fitting for Eli to wear his Halloween garb today. Can you believe the size is 9 months? Carter's clothing was literally made for his body type.

One month ago, we attended Eli's first concert, Truckstop Honeymoon. He did amazingly well for having spent the entire day at the Renaissance Festival, followed by his first patio show at the Replay. We made it through three songs.

Over the past month, Eli began to smile. At first, they were here and there and extremely unpredictable. Still, they were the best reward parents could ask for.

He now smiles all the time, with such ease. It is almost like that first crush you have when you look at each other and all you can do is smile giddily-- that is how it feels when we lock eyes and smile at each other. It is our way of having a conversation.
